SLB have managed BaByliss PRO’s trade PR and advertising for well over ten years. We work with some of the world’s leading session stylists and salon hairdressers to make sure the brand are always where they need to be seen - whether it’s backstage at London Fashion Week or on stage at trade shows such as Salon International.

SOYO is Leeds’ most exciting upcoming neighbourhood. SLB are responsible for all PR, marketing and event organisation, working on engagement with local cultural partners such as Leeds Playhouse, Northern Ballet and Leeds College of Music, as well as key stakeholders and business contacts in the city. We plan, write and edit the SOYO Correspondent - the area’s local quarterly newspaper - and manage social channels including content planning and creation.

RUSK is one of the professional hairdressing industry’s leading colour brands. SLB are involved with RUSK’s creative concept every step of the way - from planning photoshoots, to placing images and ensuring the products are visible to their key market. We also manage the publicity for the brand’s UK Ambassador, the award-winning Katie Mulcahy.

Slim Chickens is a fast casual dining restaurant fresh from the deep south of the United States. Famous for their juicy chicken tenders and crazy range of house dipping sauces, Slim Chickens are on track to take over the UK. SLB PR launched their newest site, in the heart of Soho.

The Hairdressers' Charity
The Hairdressers’ Charity has been around in one form or another since 1853. We have the task of bringing the charity forward, full force into the 21st Century, delicately re-visualising their original core values and aesthetics to a modern, tech savvy audience.

Made Up Leeds
Made Up Leeds was a citywide initiative from Leeds’ top retailers, involving talks, appearances and masterclasses from some of beauty’s most recognised faces, including Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo, Alexandra Crane, Kaz Crossley, Ruby Hammer and Lewys Ball.

MOJO are one of SLB’s oldest clients – from launching their Manchester bar in 2006 they have worked together on countless parties, gigs, food launches and more. MOJO now operate five bars across the country, with SLB at the helm guarding the reputation of this provocative and clever brand.

Leeds International Festival
SLB are part of the talented team of festival directors for Leeds International Festival - an annual event which takes over the city in association with LeedsBID (Business Improvement District).
Alongside co-director Cathy Dickson of Cabba, we manage the fashion element of the festival, housed in two converted shipping containers in the centre of the action on Leeds’ busiest shopping street. This takes the form of non-stop runway shows, panel talks, workshops, parties and networking events.

Andrew Barton is recognised as hairdressing royalty - not only within the hairdressing industry, but as a household name. His accolades include British Hairdresser of the Year and British Hair Icon - and his more recent appointment as style correspondent for Sky News during the Royal Wedding. SLB have been there every step of the way, from launching his one-of-a-kind exhibition Beehives, Bobs and Blow-dries to perfecting Andrew’s education masterplan, ABLE.

SLB were appointed by D&D London to manage the launch communications strategy and opening party for their first UK venues outside of London - Leeds’ Crafthouse and Angelica. As well as implementing soft launches for over 300 people, we managed social media, menu shoots, chef profiling, press office plus throwing what is still regarded as one of the best launch parties Leeds has ever seen.

Hazel & Haydn
Hazel & Haydn is a boutique salon in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. In addition to some good old fashioned PR (trade and consumer), we work closely with the team on entering awards, for which they have a successful track record.

Leelex are the masterminds behind some of Leeds’ best bars and have been friends of SLB for longer than we can remember. We have represented infamous Leeds venues such as Jake’s Bar, Neon Cactus, Oporto, Cielo Blanco, The Hummingbird and Notting Hill’s Portobello Star - we even launched the world renowned Portobello Road gin!

Apothecary 87 are one of the UK’s fastest growing grooming brands. SLB were brought in to look after the brand’s presence in the trade press, for which we gained outstanding media coverage. We also hosted a press day at London’s Lucky Pig cocktail bar to launch the Muskoka Beard Balm - all in a day!
MHD is a pioneer in online hairdressing training. SLB have worked with the brand for years, managing their global media strategy through 36 different worldwide licensees. We have worked with some of the world’s most impressive names in hairdressing training to provide press ready step-by-steps, tutorials, social media content and much more.

As well as introducing them to Leeds’ best beauty influencers we have ensured they’ve secured key roles backstage at London Fashion Week, for local university fashion graduate shows and key regional fashion and beauty events.

Through the expertise and creative minds of their brilliantly talented staff (and a little helping hand from SLB), Unique have won countless awards, and are recognised within the industry, and the region, for giving their clients a truly luxury experience.

Roxy Ball Room
Roxy Ball Room is a brand created by Leeds’ very own Jones Bar Group, who are responsible for some of the area’s most well loved venues.
The Roxy concept is to combine great food and drink with gaming - beer pong, ping pong, pool, bowling and even crazy golf! We were responsible for launching the venue to a completely new crowd in Manchester, where our Northern roots are also firmly planted.

The Salon Awards shine a spotlight on inspirational and dynamic hair salons, hairdressers and barbers across the UK. Four regional awards are hosted annually including Essex, Yorkshire, Hampshire and Sussex.
Working with the Salon Awards we utilise our black book of regional contacts to achieve coverage where it counts. We have transformed their social media presence and more than doubled the reach through social advertising, making their social channels a go to source of information, news and trends for hundreds of salons across the UK.
